Discover the Magic of a Forest Therapy Guide

Have you ever felt the need to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life? To find a moment of peace and tranquility? That's exactly what a forest therapy guide is all about...allowing you to slow down and reconnect with nature. The practice of forest bathing, also known as shinrin-yoku, is a practice that originated in Japan and has gained popularity worldwide. It involves immersing yourself in nature and using your senses to fully experience the forest. Its not about hiking or exercising; its about slowing down, being present, and connecting with the natural world around you. It's incredibly beneficial for your physical and mental wellbeing!

During our slow wander in the forest we will take in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. Feel the texture of the leaves and the coolness of the breeze on your skin. Listen to the birds singing and the rustling of the leaves under your feet. Being present in the moment, surrounded by nature. At the end of each guide we will enjoy some forest tea together. It's a beautiful way to end your experience and reflect on your time spent in nature. Whether you are a nature lover or simply seeking a moment of calm, I am here to guide you on your forest therapy journey. Until then, take a moment to step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the beauty of the natural world around you.

A Little About Me

Growing up on the family farm in the Canadian prairies, I was blessed to be surrounded by nature. Swaying wheat fields; a vast woodlot containing the mighty oaks and the telltale sound of poplar leaves, rustling in the warm summer air. A meandering river that flowed through our farmland, with endless hours of enjoyment. Skating on cold, crisp days, and swimming on hot summer afternoons. As a young girl, when I needed comfort and support I would spend countless hours finding and feeling it in the forest that surrounded the farm. All through my life I continued to find peace, strength and clarity in nature. So it's no surprise to me that I came upon this beautiful, simple practice that I've unknowingly been practicing my whole life. I am fully certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides.

I feel so grateful to be able to help support others to feel the power of nature, as we go on this journey together!

"I have taken, not one, but two forest therapy guides with Twila, as they were that good! One was in the summer and the other in the winter. And although different, both were incredible! Relaxing, rejuvenating, calming-and you feel the benefits immediately. It is truly therapy for the soul. Highly, highly recommend it!"
